Welcome our new Urgent Care Vet- Sammie Haggard, DVM!
Associate Urgent Care Veterinarian and Director of Urgent Care Services



From playing hospital with her stuffed animals as a child, Sammie has always known she was destined to be a veterinarian. After being born and raised in Hong Kong, she moved solo to Sydney, Australia where she underwent her undergraduate and Doctorate degrees. Her career has mostly been concentrated mostly in emergency medicine, but her other passions include diagnostic imaging. She has two cats of her own, Aspen and Opal, who travelled with her all the way from down under. Opal has been blind since rescue and particularly enjoys staring at walls and hiding from her pesky brother. In her free time, Sammie enjoys anything to do with a body of water and the sunshine - whether it be ocean swimming, kayaking, soaking, or paddling. Since recently moving to Colorado, she's particularly enjoyed getting introduced to hiking at altitude and snow sports. When the weather gets too cold, you can find her seeking warmth in a sauna or curled up somewhere with a good fantasy book.

WHAT ARE YOUR URGENT CARE HOURS?

Our urgent care hours are 9 AM to 9 PM Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Our general practice hours will remain the same - Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 7 AM to 5 PM, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 AM to 7 PM, and Saturday from 8 AM to noon.


WHERE IS THE URGENT CARE FACILITY LOCATED?

13648 Orchard Parkway Suite 700, Westminster, CO 80023. Our urgent care facility entrance is next door to our general practice entrance on the east side or right of our general practice door if you're facing the building.


WHAT TYPES OF ANIMALS DO YOU SEE?

Dogs, cats, small mammals, and small reptiles (box turtles, small lizards, snakes, etc.)


DO I NEED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO BE SEEN?

We do prefer that you, at a minimum, give us a call to let us know what is going on with your pet so that we may prepare for your arrival and give you important information as needed. Keep in mind that there is also a possibility that we may fill up for the day and that we will ALWAYS give priority to the more severe case upon arrival.


DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS OR TAKE INSURANCE?

Unfortunately, we do not offer payment plans at this time. Payment will be owed in full for services rendered during your visit. A deposit may also be required at check-in. However, we do accept CareCredit and Scratch Pay, and will send any information/medical records to your chosen pet insurance company. .
